Trail Brochure

Return to Home Page

We finally have the trail lengths on the map! Much thanks to Steve Wolfe for doing such a good job with this!

This brochure is designed to be a Trail Map with trail descriptions.  We hope it will ease you through the property.

With each new version it gets better, but it is still a work in progress.  What does that mean?

It means:

  • Almost all trails are now accurately represented on the map, but the White Pine Swamp trail is not yet completed.
  • The Loop trail is currently blazed with white, per Town standards, but we're hoping the standards will change so we can choose a brighter color. Stay tuned.
  • The connector trails will be blazed with blue, but not all are blazed yet. Again, we're hoping for permission to use brighter colors to coordinate with the colors shown on the map.

Get the newest (March 2008) brochure here.

It is designed to be a tri-fold (barrel fold).  This means you should try to print it double sided and then fold it so that the map is in the middle and and each side folded in.

The Trail Brochure and its map does not show every trail on the property.  At this point in time, it is not possible for us to maintain every trail out there and some trails simply should not be kept up for many reasons.  If your favorite trail is not shown on the map and you want to work with some friends to bring it up to Town Standards, please email us or come to one of our meetings.  We meet at least once per quarter, generally on the 3rd Monday of every month, but it is always good to check the agenda page.

How can you help with the Trail Brochure you ask...

  • We need help making the Trails fit for as many uses as the Definitive plan allows.  If you like to do a little work, we want you.  Just use the email link below.
  • We still need to put up some bridging over wet areas and re-route a few trails to get around wet spots.   If you are good with hand tools, we need you as well.  We also need mules...I mean folks who can carry a piece of wood.  Again, just email us using the link below.

It's getting there!

You can still find the older and other maps on the Trails Maps page.
