Call to order: The meeting was called to order = at 7:33 p.m.

&= nbsp;

Announcements: Ruth Roulx is working on Old Kings Highway looking in to funding for improvements.  Tim is looking (working) on reclassifying the road into a Class A trail.  Hunting season is still on till De= cember 15, 2006.

&= nbsp;

Debra = is to get definition of pedestrian trail.  We may want to change wording for the trail easement off Naticook Rd= to non-motorized from pedestrian.

&= nbsp;

Helynn= e showed pictures of the wetlands in the northwest corner of HHNP, near the Beaver p= ond. They were taken in May during the high water. Also pictures of the transien= t Otter population seen in the fall on the beaver pond.

&= nbsp;

Helynne suggested we let people know about wildlife in the area so people stay on t= he trail and out of the area’s animal habitat.

&= nbsp;

Update from the MCC meeting: Walter Warren is holding = on to part of the $10,000 in his HHNP budget and the MCC would like to use it before J= uly 2007 or it will be turned back to the town.

&= nbsp;

Swanso= n is to locate the boundary markers on the property and possibly resurvey (cost).

&= nbsp;

Debra = did a walk of the long trail with Andy Powell and Phil Straight. They were impres= sed and ok’d it.

&= nbsp;

Oth= er Business: Tim to= send letter of thanks to Churc= h of Latter Day Saints for work they did on trails.

&= nbsp;

Trail = walks have been suspended due to safety concerns relative to hunting season. They will resume on January 7, 2007 at 1pm.

&= nbsp;

Debra = is to pilot a trail clearing project on December 17, 2006. It will leave the Amherst Rd = parking lot at 1pm sharp.

&= nbsp;

Kio= sk Rules: Debra mad= e a comment on ATV use that it appears to be very negative. Tim commented = that he followed Ernie Buck’s lead on the layout. Bob said we should list = the RSA’S with the rules.

&= nbsp;

Hours = of operations was discussed and tabled.

&= nbsp;

Welcom= e to Nature Preserve sign to be redone by Tim and resubmitted to the committee. Helynne asked to have the words NO LITTER bolded.

&= nbsp;

Center= Sign all were cool with it.

&= nbsp;

Tim wo= uld like to see proposed map by next meeting. We will use base map from the definiti= ve plan.

 

Hun= ting signs: Amherst Rd= sign too small. Next year we sho= uld increase size. Tim said he will remove signs by December 15th.

Fin= ance sub committee: Nothi= ng to report. They will start in January.
