business was to elect a chairman and vice chairman. Debra made a motion to
nominate Tim Tenhave as chairman, Denise O’Dwyer seconded the motion.=

discussion on motion. Vote was 5-0-1 in favor.

committee then had a discussion on Goals and Duties of the subcommittee.

then decided that minutes will be taken and will be rotated by each member.
Denise O’Dwyer will be first minute taker.

would be updating the www.HHNP.org web site over the next few months.

out a sheet of “trail task”, a “non trail task”, tr=
ail
map and the first draft of the HHNP Trail Master Plan. Tim explained to Bob the history o=
f the
trail master plan.

started
the conversation of a “big loop” or a “small loop” =
as
being the main trail of the property. At this time the group is going to th=
ink
about which would be better.

asked
about Old Kings Highway (OKHW=
) project
and how the MCC has to give it’s blessing on the of changing OKHW fro=
m a
class VI road to a class A or B trail, because the MCC is the managing body=
of
HHNP. The committee agreed it should be a joint venture with the Heritage
Commission.

discussed all these goals at great lengths.

take on the DES paperwork.

the MCC about rules for naming trails.

has been
working on marking a trail segment to connect the Spaulding Trail with the
Horse Hill Trail.

decided to hold organized trail walks on the first Sunday of every month, f=
rom
the Amherst parking lot at 1PM. Kick off will be November.
Discus=
sion
about who would get the word out for the public walks ensued and Connie was
named the Public Relations person.
Tim re=
minded
everyone that hunting season is here and we should all wear orange. Tim also
mentioned he would be putting up the Share the woods hunting signs on all
access points.

then talked about their meeting schedules. The committee decided it will me=

every two weeks until November. First and third Mondays at 7:30 pm in the
Conference room in Town Hall.
